The idea behind Tuffpuff
Small worlds.
Lasting feelings.
Tuffpuff is an online, toy-themed space for the little objects that leave a big impression. A place to slow down, look closer, and reconnect with a sense of play.
A toy box for
the imagination.
Tuffpuff looks at toys as little works of imagination. Their colours, materials, and characters tell us something about how we play, what we dream about, and what we choose to keep.
Think of it as a museum-inspired way of looking at toys, wherever you are. There is no physical venue to visit: the collections here are themes to explore, not a catalogue of items held by Tuffpuff.
The imagery is original and AI-generated, created to evoke the feeling of vintage toys rather than document particular antiques.
Memories you can hold.
A toy can bring back a favourite colour, a childhood room, or the sound of someone laughing. The feeling is personal, even when the object is familiar to many of us.
Small objects, shared culture.
Toys reflect the stories, styles, and ideas around them. Looking at their shapes and characters gives us another way to appreciate everyday design and the worlds we imagine.
The joy of noticing.
Collecting does not have to mean having everything. Sometimes it is simply noticing what delights you: a stitched smile, a painted wheel, or a figure with a wonderfully odd personality.
